1. Check fuel level and quality

6. Inspect condition of tires and wheels

Inspection all tires and wheels for similar height and tightness inspect bolts and fasteners are not bent or damaged

2. Inspect the Air Filter

7. Inspect belts and cables

Look for seized damaged or broken cables or frayed or cracked belts that may be at or near end of life

4. Inspect the blade and blade bolt

Look to see if the blade is bent or damaged that bolt is tight and ensure unbalance blade won't cause catastrophic damage

9. Look for leaks

3. Examine Spark Plug

Inspect fuel to evaluate for stale or old fuel, water in fuel or improper fuel such as 2 cycle oil in a 4 cycle or straight gasoline in a 2 cycle

Evaluate the ability for the mower to bring in critical air flow to ensure proper function

Inspect each spark plug for evidence of rich or lean conditions including oil blow by or flooding conditions that might be present

5. Check the deck and discharge chute

Look for rust, holes or evidence of damage or problem causing debris

8. Inspect any steering or brake components

Visually inspect for worn damaged or missing parts

10. Confirm safety devices are in place

Evaluate that safety devices are in place and functioning properly and that Idle RPM is not over manufacture recommended specs
